ThumbnailAs the webmaster and one-man web design team behind this site, I've been working to make it more useable and easier to maintain. A massive overhaul of the information architecture as well as a refresh of the look and feel took most of 2002.

Skills, Technologies, Etc.

HTML, PHP, MySQL, Flash

My Role:

Lead Developer, Lead Designer

Results:

While the site overhaul was a long and tedious process, I feel the new information architecture is a huge improvement over the old site, which was a nightmare to navigate. The new look is serviceable, although it was a collaboration of sorts between myself and an outside designed, and makes some IA compromises in the name of the design that I would have preferred we avoid.

In addition to this overhaul of the publicly accessible site, I've spent a lot of time tying sections of the site to a MySQL database to allow us to keep content updated more regularly. PHP tools for managing database content, a ton of improved forms, and some new searchable database resources have all improved the overall user experience of the site.
